Review: Coldplay's B.C. Place concert the best arena show of 2017 - - "Finally, how great was the sound? All the major shows in B.C. Place this season seemed pretty fine sound-wise. But Coldplay blew U2, Guns N Roses and Metallica away in clarity. This reviewer feels schooled in what good sound should be now. And kudos to Coldplay for putting on such a killer experience. And this is not coming from a fan."
STUART DERDEYN - September 30, 2017
GIG REPORT: Coldplay performs stellar first night in Singapore with over 50,000 in attendance. "British rock band Coldplay played their first 2017 show in Singapore — the first of two sold-out nights at Singapore Sports Hub, the band proved just why their live shows are a massive attraction around the world. If Coldplay succeeded in one thing in Singapore this year, it's that they proved the Singapore Sports Hub doesn't entirely suck for concerts. Maybe it was better acoustic planning — there were noticeably more speakers in the arena, with extra towers accommodating the crowd furthest from the stage — but Coldplay sounded full of energy in the immensely large stadium, with every song breaking through with considerable clarity. "Amsterdam ArenA Coldplay AHFOD 2016: I'm guessing the ArenA accoustic designer was happy with our result, gifting us with praise, beer & cake! The previous acts got such bad reviews it was a relief for them that a good sound is achivable….. They have since instaled the same d&b system I put in for the AHFOD tour."
